Athens Family Health Center and team provided health screenings and information about our services at Hope for Athens this weekend.
Hope for Athens united key organizations in Athens to provide free services and goods to “guests of honor”. Guests received free groceries, shoes, coats, haircuts, family portraits, health services, and more.
Our Athens Family Health Center team provided information and health screenings to hundreds of people. People stopped by our booth to receive not only blood pressure and glucose screenings but also to receive healthcare giveaways and a chance to win a raffled gift basket. In the middle of it all was Nurse Practitioner Amy Woods – greeting and talking to the crowds.
Although Hope for Athens has come to an end, we continue to be here for our community. Anyone seeking healthcare services, insured or not, is welcomed at our Family Health Centers.
