Sarah Smith, DNP, is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with 17 years of advanced practice experience. She provides care for infants, children, and adolescents. Her clinical background includes primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, and a Level III NICU. This experience gives her a broad understanding of children’s health at every stage.
In 2007, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama with a focus in Child Health. She later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Alabama in 2013, focusing on Advanced Practice Nursing Leadership.
Additional training includes a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Fellowship. She also earned the Primary Care Pediatric Mental Health Specialist Certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). Supporting both mental and physical health is a central part of her approach to pediatric care.
Beyond patient care, Sarah spent seven years teaching in a Family Nurse Practitioner program. She continues to mentor and train future healthcare providers. With more than 30 years of nursing experience, she brings strong clinical knowledge and a deep commitment to children and families.
Outside the clinic, Sarah enjoys traveling, gardening, spending time with family, and caring for her Yorkies.
