Primary Care in Huntsville and North Alabama
Nurse Practitioner Joan Eldridge provides primary care services at Huntsville Family Health Center.
Joan Eldridge, FNP-C, is dedicated to supporting patient-centered care for individuals with both acute and chronic health needs. She focuses on listening closely, educating patients, emphasizing prevention, and supporting patients as they make informed decisions about their health.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2018. In her prior clinical experience, Joan has served in a range of clinical leadership roles, including weekend supervisor in long-term care, Director of Nursing in assisted living and memory care, and charge nurse on a medical floor at Crestwood Medical Center.
Her approach to care centers on partnership, prevention, and clear communication. She works alongside patients and care teams to address health concerns, answer questions, and guide next steps. During visits, she strives to create an environment where patients feel comfortable discussing concerns and leave with greater clarity, reassurance, and confidence in their care plan.
Joan’s professional recognition includes being named RN of the Year twice at Crestwood Medical Center’s medical floor and becoming the first nurse on her unit to receive the DAISY Award. Her guiding belief is: “Knowledge is power, but action creates change.”
Outside the clinic, Joan enjoys tending her vegetable garden, biking, walking, Pilates, and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.
